This is not just a greeting card. It is an original piece of art ... created by the American artist, Christie Wood. Since each card is handmade and signed by the artist, no two are exactly the same. Recipients often view the card as a special gift and as art suitable for framing.

The artist creates her cards using a variety of surface design techniques. She favors using bright colored paints, fabrics, papers, and is especially fond of incorporating beads, sequins, and charms into her designs.

Christie Wood earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota. She is self-taught as an artist, although it has been her life long hobby to take art courses and enter art competitions. Christie and her family live in the metropolitan area during the week, then spend their weekends rejuvenating at their farm in the country. She gets inspiration from nature, her husband, three children, and a menagerie of critters, including a horse, a dog, and five pet chickens.
