And as a plant, it is the well-known symbol of long-lasting affection. Its uncommon cycle makes it bloom in Autumn and bear its fruit in Spring. Both a plant and a small shrub, it grows wild in the forests of Western and Central Europe as well as in Asia. It includes fifteen different species, creeps on the ground before climbing along walls and trees on its way, going as high as twenty-five yards and living up to many hundred years...
